Compliance with Competition Rules in Trade Associations

We are pleased to invite you to a SEAP members-only training workshop on Compliance with Competition Rules in Trade Associations.

Trade associations play a vital role in representing their members’ interests, yet their activities are closely monitored under EU competition law. Ensuring compliance is essential to safeguard both the reputation and the effectiveness of associations.

This interactive workshop will provide practical guidance on how to stay compliant in daily activities such as meetings, document drafting and informal exchanges. Using fictional case studies, participants will be invited to vote via Slido on the most appropriate course of action. Expert panellists will then comment on the results, highlighting the key dos and don’ts.

Panellists include:

  • Marek Jahudka and Tobias Maass, DG COMP, European Commission, speaking in their personal capacity
  • Paolo Falcioni, Board Member, European Society of Association Executives

The event will be moderated by SEAP Board member Vincent Guerre.

To encourage an open and practical exchange among participants, the discussion will be conducted under the Chatham House Rule.

There are only 20 seats available, and seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also an option of participating online. Please check your e-mail inbox for the invitation and the registration link.

If you are not a SEAP member and would like to participate in our training courses and other events in the future, please consider becoming a member. Further information on the application process can be found here: www.seap.be/join-seap
