Have your say on the EU’s new transparency measures!

The European Commission has recently introduced new transparency rules. Since 1 January 2025, all senior Commission staff – including Directors-General, Directors, and Heads of Unit – must follow the same meeting rules as Commissioners and their teams.

They can only meet with interest representatives who are registered in the Transparency Register. In addition, the Commission will publish details and minutes of these meetings to make decision-making more transparent.

SEAP welcomes measures that enhance transparency but notes that these changes may raise concerns about the handling of confidential information. That’s why SEAP wants to hear from you. How do these changes impact your work?
