SEAP Board elects new President and Vice-President

The Society of European Affairs Professionals (SEAP) elected Emma Brown as the new President of the organisation, alongside Marco Baldoli as Vice-President.

Emma Brown, Director of Public Affairs and Communications at CropLife Europe, who served as Vice-President of SEAP for three years, succeeds Paul Varakas. During Varakas’ tenure, SEAP further established itself as a leading voice for European affairs professionals, advocating for high ethical standards and transparency in public affairs.

The newly elected Vice-President, Marco Baldoli, who is Associate Director at Kellen Europe, joined SEAP’s Board last year. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, and both he and Brown are eager to work together to advance SEAP’s goals in the coming three years of their term.

Speaking after her election, Emma Brown expressed her commitment for her term of office: “Taking on this role is a huge chance to build on the work we have done over the last few years. SEAP has just strengthened its Code of Conduct with a revision accepted at the General Assembly and this is something I hope to carry forward. I would like to thank Paul Varakas for his dedication and leadership over the past three years. I look forward to continuing this work with Marco and the rest of the Board and looking at further opportunities to provide added value to our members.”

Baldoli added: “Our priorities are clear: we will build on the achievements of the past, continue to be the authoritative voice of European affairs professionals, and focus on enhancing the services to our members. This means offering even more training, networking opportunities, and support to help our members thrive in a rapidly changing professional environment.”
