SEAP is concerned about reports that the European Parliament could extend the ban on lobbying to third-party organisations linked to certain companies. While SEAP supports transparency and accountability, bans based on connections – without due process – risk undermining democratic dialogue and informed policy-making. Given the importance of this matter, SEAP President Emma Brown has written to the Secretary General of the European Parliament requesting that this matter be discussed further to better understand Parliament’s intentions.
