In response to recent reports of corruption allegations against Huawei, SEAP President Emma Brown issued the following statement:
“If the allegations are true, this is not lobbying — it’s corruption. Lobbying, when done transparently and ethically, is a legitimate part of democratic policymaking. It’s important not to conflate alleged criminal behaviour with professional, rules-based advocacy.”
